Host family

Whether you are 17 or 70 years old, staying in an English home is an excellent way to practice your everyday English. All hosts are regularly inspected by the school and carefully chosen to ensure your stay in London is a memorable and productive experience. To encourage you to improve your English, unless you request otherwise, you will be the only student speaking your language in the house. Hosts may be families, couples or, in some cases, single people whose children have left home. Please let us know if you have any preferences.

Breakfast is included and if you chose half-board basis evening meals will be prepared by your host family. If mentioned at the time of booking, a five meal dinner plan per week may also be arranged. All bed linen will be provided by your hosts and you are only required to provide towels.

We can offer you 2 types of host family:

• Standard host family offers good quality accommodation which conforms to the British Council. Standard host families are located in zone 3 and 4. If you would prefer a host family which is closer to the school we can also offer a host family located in Zone 2. Please be advised that zone 2 accommodation is a little more expensive (see prices)

• Superior host families are a selection of our best host families. Homes are generally of a higher standard and families provide a higher level or personal service. Rooms are generally larger with additional facilities. All superior host families are situated in zone 3 and 4.

On request a private bathroom is available on a limited basis and there is a supplement of €40 per week.
